…a collaboration between ‘IVY MUSE X AMANDA DZIEDZIC’. I am a little partial to a ‘limited edition’ or ‘collaboration’ piece or two … so when my eyes landed on the ‘NEST’ pieces, I couldn’t wait to find out more.
Since the Ivy Muse co-founders, Alana Langan and Jacqui Vidal, opened their ‘Botanical Emporium’ in August 2016, I have been watching their business collaborate with some incredible artists and this is another one to add to their list. The core business of Ivy Muse is in designing “beautiful, functional plant stands and botanical wares and are driven by a commitment to encourage creativity with greenery”, Jacqui says. Collaborations are another part of their business I adore.
The artist engaged to create the glassware for the ‘NEST’ piece was Amanda Dziedzic. A well-known Melbourne-based glass artist who’s pieces I have been admiring for many years. She creates works with incredible colour and form from her Brunswick studio, a natural creative and loves working with glass.
Ivy Muse’s newest ‘Nest’ is a petite table top stand and vessel perfect for small plants, flowers and other treasures. Plants can be planted into soil or plant roots and flowers can be suspended in water to showcase the delicate beauty of the glass. The creations you see here are literally a match made in heaven.
The stunning pieces are available in in two colour options; a Powder-coated Black Stand with Midnight Glass ($270 rap) and a Brass-plated Stand with Aubergine Glass ($280 rrp.)
The ‘Ivy Muse X Amanda Dziedzic NEST’ collections are limited edition with only 20 of each colour being made. They are gift-boxed in a beautiful custom design, each is signed and numbered for authenticity. If you are after something truly beautiful to gift someone special who loves hand made quality and stunning in design for Christmas, this is it. I am also thrilled to have the 1st ever edition of the Brass platedBrass-plated Stand with Aubergine Glass … it’s beautiful!
Ivy Muse is extremely passionate about supporting the local raft of talent in Melbourne (and around Australia). They are master collaborators, and in the past collaborated with leather craftsman including Wootten, ceramicists Ingrid Tufts and Ana Maria Jensen, plus artists Amy Wright and Robert Bowers.
